Located on top of the hill at Thansadet Beach on the east coast of Koh Phangan Paradise Island. Ao Ban Khai starts where the Had Rin hills stop and is part of the long unbroken stretch of beach that runs all the way up to Thong Sala. A sign warns not to take seashells and corals from the bay, respect this as it is haven for nature and it is illegal to take them home. Had Mae Had is also a local dive site - many companies on Koh Pha-Ngan offer snorkelling and scuba diving trips to the nearby island of Koh Ma, which has a stunning coral reef.
